Florida, Dec. 7 – Floridian linemen Maykel Frank Tassé and Daniel Ignacio Ramos have returned home with the recognition of the people for their attitude of solidarity, after almost a month of support for the recovery of the electric infrastructure in the provinces of Havana and Artemisa, severely affected by Hurricane Rafael.
Both specialists of the Basic Electric Unit (OBE) of Florida carried out long working days to contribute to the reestablishment of services to the populations of the territories of Boyeros, in the Cuban capital, and Guanajay and Alquizar, in the province of Artemisa.
The recovery of the electric infrastructure in these territories in western Cuba demanded high levels of labor and social commitment to put up and restore the useful life of poles and power lines, and the transformer banks that were knocked down or damaged by the impact of the hydrometeorological phenomenon that affected western Cuba at the beginning of last November.
Since then, the Floridian linemen Maykel Frank Tassé and Daniel Ignacio Ramos stepped forward and joined the Camagüeyan electrical contingent, Ignacio Agramonte, which contributed to the reestablishment of services in Havana and Artemisa, in what stands out as another great work of solidarity and altruism, deserving of all the recognition of the Cuban people.
