Florida, Dec. 3.- The highest political and government authorities in Florida accompanied the workers of the Public Health System of the territory during the celebration of the municipal act for the Day of Latin American Medicine, this December 3, where the commitment of this force with the life of the people in defense of the human work of the Revolution and the ideas of Fidel Castro Ruz was ratified once again.

Representatives of the Army of White Coats met at the facilities of the Cielo Floridano Recreational Center with the purpose of rewarding and highlighting the best values of humanism, solidarity and altruism present in each space of local medical care.

In this regard, the Manuel Piti Fajardo Rivero Distinction was presented to doctors Aimara García Martínez, Abetain Azcuy Almanza and Oscar Rabelo Elvirez, for their uninterrupted work for more than 20 and 25 years in this sphere.

Likewise, the Manuel Piti Fajardo and Leopoldo Rey Sampayo Hospitals received recognition for their performance in the stage; the two polyclinics; the Municipal Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Microbiology; the La Vallita and San Antonio nursing homes; the Adult Stomatology Clinic; the Regionalized Medical Emergency Transportation System; and the General and Public Health Assurance Directorates of Florida.

For the perseverance, commitment and loyalty in the task of surveillance and anti-vectorial control, the Provincial Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, together with the municipal Health Directorate, awarded a special diploma to the Arbovirus Post of this Camagüeyan town.

The celebration of the political-cultural act for Latin American Medicine Day in the municipality of Florida, as part of the day of homage to the health worker, was another moment of support for the words of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution who expressed that “in difficult times is when men and women are truly tested for their worth.”

With that pride and shame of Ignacio Agramonte, hundreds of professionals, technicians and support staff wear their white coats for the tasks of the sector in this land of legendary Camagüey.
