Public Health Department recognizes hemodialysis group in Florida

Florida, Dec. 2.- The general director of Public Health in the municipality of Florida, Dr. Enni González Carrazana, recognized the efforts of the group of workers of the Hemodialysis service adjacent to the Leopoldo Rey Sampayo pediatric hospital, on the occasion of the Latin American Medicine Day.

“There they have managed to maintain care for patients with chronic renal failure not only on the basis of available resources, but, above all, due to the daily commitment, dedication and solidarity of the medical, nursing and support staff in general,” said the main representative of the local health system.

With special characteristics and very high complexity for its execution, the Dialysis and Hemodialysis Service demands guarantees of transportation, communication, irreplaceable material and human resources, energy support, skill in acting and uninterrupted work, both day and night, every day.

The room of this type located in the Leopoldo Rey Sampayo pediatric hospital in Florida also accommodates kidney patients from the neighboring municipalities of Esmeralda and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes.

The recognition of the General Directorate of Public Health of the territory for the performance of this institution sums up the gratitude of those who add days to their lives from full and free access to one of the most sensitive achievements of the Revolution in Cuba.
