Florida, Sep. 21 – «Amparo Carriera Montes» Maternity Hospital in the municipality of Florida is a key element of the Maternal and Infant Program (PAMI) where the care of pregnant women at high obstetric risk is kept active, even under the impact of the complex material, nutritional and electro-energetic limitations existing at present.
A total of 22 pregnant women are currently hospitalized in this health institution, with guarantees of permanent medical assistance, balanced nutrition and follow-up of pathologies that could put the life of the mother and fetus or future baby at risk after delivery.
Among the main measures to be respected in the Florida Maternity Home, also known as «Palacio de la Maternidad», is the surveillance against the Dengue and Oropouche fever viruses, based on internal protocols and prevention supported by antivectorial control technicians and workers.
The Maternity Home stands here as an essential pillar in the defense of the territory’s PAMI, by concretely contributing to the reduction of mortality rates and closing the way to complications with pregnancy and childbirth itself, as the conclusion of the process of conception of a new being.
