Florida, Sep. 13 – A brigade of the forestry sector in Florida is currently undertaking tree pruning actions in the municipal capital as part of a program of the Basic Electric Unit to reduce risks in the local distribution system of the service in those places where trunks and branches threaten power lines and transformers.
In a first stage, this preventive action will be concentrated along the stretch of the Central Highway that crosses the Floridan municipality, where more than 90 trees whose branches constitute a danger to the integrity of the electric distribution networks have been identified.
According to a report from the Operations Department of the Floridan Basic Electric Unit, tree pruning is planned in a second and third stage to protect the integrity of the two main distribution lines of the services to the municipality, in particular, the networks and the circuit transformers.
In no case should pruning be carried out in an excessive and aggressive manner, in order to preserve the vitality of the trees, taking into account their importance for life on our planet, especially in this period when high temperatures and the effects of air pollution are affecting them.
