Florida Basic Food Unit called to increase its production

Florida, Sep. 12 – To increase the production of bread and sweets at affordable prices for the people was the commitment assumed by the management of the Basic Food Unit of the municipality of Florida before the highest authorities of the Party and the Government in the province of Camagüey.

According to what was stated by the directors of that business unit, every day more than five thousand loaves of bread, an equal amount of sweets and 100 pizza bases are manufactured and marketed here through the network of state bakeries and candy stores.

Federico Hernández Hernández, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party valued as insufficient the referred offer, and called to multiply it and to propose varieties of bread and sweets at different prices, so that there are opportunities of access to them for one hundred percent of the social groups of the territory.

It is up to the structures of the Government of Florida to supervise and enforce the Party’s orientation in the food sphere, especially in the current stage when the beginning of the school year means a challenge for the families in the effort to guarantee and reinforce breakfasts and snacks to the students in each home.
