Florida, Aug. 27 – The municipality of Florida still has about 80 hectares of plantain to be planted in order to fulfill the plan foreseen in the spring campaign.
To date, the set of units and actors in the agricultural field planted in the current stage, almost 22 cavalleries of this durable crop and high demand in the diet of the population.
The strategy to advance more quickly in the task of reaching in Florida one hectare of plantain planted per thousand inhabitants includes taking advantage of some idle land or in the process of enlistment in the sugar cane sector.
The authorities of Agriculture and its dependencies are called to improve the information management in this sense, so that the real volumes of plantation of foods such as plantain, yucca and others in this territory are known and registered with certainty.
