Solidarity of Floridian organizations and farmers benefits patients at the maternity home (+Audio and Photo)

Florida, Jul. 18 – The Amparo Carriera Montes Maternity Home in the municipality of Florida has the important mission of offering medical, nutritional, social and psychological care to any pregnant woman who, in her condition, faces risks to her own health and her future baby.

With 36 capacities and three municipalities under its protection, the institution demands a permanent supply of food resources to sustain the diet of the pregnant women admitted, which is complemented by the solidarity received by this institution linked to the Florida Maternal and Child Care Program.

The support is materialized in the voluntary delivery of food, grains, vegetables and other agricultural items from other organizations and social agents in favor of the welfare of pregnant women who remain in this priority entity of the Public Health System of the territory.
