Florida, June 14 – Representatives from Florida won several awards at the Provincial Youth Seminar on Martí Studies held at the Camagüey headquarters of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), an event that helps to bring us closer to the thought and work of José Martí, exploring his political vision, social commitment and his passion for education and culture.
Yosdany Nápoles Martínez, from the Manuel Rivero Gómez de Avellaneda Economics Institute; Leyanis González Álvarez, from the Camilo Cienfuegos College; and Leysi Quesada Bello, from the Rolando Valdivia Fernández High School, are the three students from this district who received awards at the event.
The Florida delegation to the 48th edition of the Martí Youth Seminar was also composed of students Jaret Gutiérrez Sosa, from the José Luis Tassende special school; Daniela María Roldán Arredondo, from the Camilo Cienfuegos school and Henry Thompson Morales from the José Martí secondary school.
