Florida, June 5 – The forces of the Ministry of Interior in the municipality of Florida recognized in a public ceremony its most outstanding officers and combatants, on the eve of the commemoration this June 6 of the 63rd anniversary of the creation of the MININT, the Cuban State organization in charge of preserving the security of the people and the economy’s assets.
The event was attended by the highest government authorities and representatives of the political and mass organizations in the territory, who together with the municipal management of MININT presented military ranks and medals to officers and combatants promoted and decorated for their distinguished service and their careers of 10, 15 and up to 20 years in the forces of the National Revolutionary Police, the State Security Organs and the Fire Brigade.
As a tradition, artists of the Floridian House of Culture, Luis Casas Romero, arrived at the headquarters of the main police station in the municipality to liven up with songs and poems the commemoration of the 63rd anniversary of the Ministry of the Interior, an organ founded on June 6, 1961 in the heat of the need to preserve the order and protect the resources of the Cuban State against the permanent stalking of the intelligence forces of the U.S. imperialism.
In salute to this commemorative date, the forces of the MININT in Florida awarded their most outstanding combatants in the fulfillment of their missions, in view of the high social commitment and state responsibility to preserve the security of the citizens and the assets of the country’s economy.
