Florida, May 22 – Even in the middle of the most complex circumstances, the municipality of Florida defends medical cooperation with other nations of the planet and that is why a total of 70 workers of the health sector of the territory carry out missions of this type in 12 countries of the world.
Doctors, nurses, stomatologists and technicians from different units of the Florida system share Cuba’s solidarity vocation through the Special Mission in Venezuela and the Integral Health Program; the Compensated Technical Assistance and the Cuban Medical Services, together with the humanism deployed by the brigades of the Henry Reeve International Contingent.
According to the Department of Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation of the local government, the countries with the greatest presence of professionals and other health collaborators from Florida are Venezuela, Qatar and Algeria.
This significant support, in the midst of the complex situation Cuba is going through at the present stage, is the continuity of the socialist principle of sharing what we have and settling our own debt with that part of the world that also defends our right to exist and live in peace.
