Breach in milk collection continues in Florida

Florida, May 14 – Until the end of April, the municipality of Florida remained in default of the milk collection plan to the industry with more than 116 thousand liters of debt with the state control and commercialization system.

At the end of this period, about thirty production bases of the territory were below the agreed figure for the delivery of the food, and consequently received the warning call from the Municipal Administration Council and the Directorate of Agriculture, in order to stop the non-compliance and recover the deficits accumulated in the current milk campaign.

Among the entities with thousands of liters pending replenishment are the Basic Units of Cooperative Production (UBPC) Antonio Maceo, José A Echeverría and Mártires de Florida; the Agricultural Production Cooperatives (CPA) Carlos Díaz and 25th Anniversary; and the credit and services cooperatives Romárico Cordero, Rolando Valdivia, Camilo Torres, Frank País, Sabino Pupo and Carlos Díaz Cervantes, among others.

The beginning of the high season of the milk harvest, starting this May, is the opportunity for the cowboys to catch up with each of their particular commitments, and for this they demand to increase the control and collection of this item, together with the conscience of honoring their number one strategic mission: to produce for the people.
