Florida, May 13th. – The municipality of Florida was selected to celebrate the provincial event for the World Hypertension Day scheduled for May 17, in the central park José Martí.
The constant work of specialists and educators of the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Unit (ProSalud), of the Municipal Hygiene Center, Epidemiology and Microbiology in the execution of preventive actions to diagnose and control arterial hypertension enabled these results in the territory.
As part of the day of activities in greeting the World Day of Arterial Hypertension, The specialists plan to develop educational talks with people living in the Nursing Home and with the Circles of Grandparents and patients of the different Offices of the Family Doctor, among other actions.
World Hypertension Day is celebrated every 17 May to promote awareness and efforts to prevent, diagnose and control this condition, which is the main risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
