Florida, Feb. 23 – The family of physical culture and sports in the municipality of Florida celebrated in the Aurora movie theater of the locality its commemorative act for the 63rd anniversary of the creation of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER).
The commemoration became a special moment to recognize workers and directors of the Sports Sector as outstanding during this stage in the fulfillment of the different tasks of organization, promotion and assurance of the programs of athletic education and recreational activities, aimed at improving the quality of life of the population.
One of the awarded people was Mr. Ramón Echemendía Padilla, who received the Rafael María de Mendive Medal, an honorary distinction awarded to exemplary and outstanding workers, with more than 20 years of work in the Education and Sports sectors.
The commemoration of INDER’s 63rd anniversary in Florida, was adorned by the music and dance of art instructors and young exponents of the amateur artists’ movement, as a symbol of the unbreakable unity of Sports and culture in Cuban society.
