Florida, January 18.- The list of Floridian talents in the National High Performance Sports Centers in Cuba increased in the new year, with the incorporation of three new athletes from this municipality in the same number of disciplines.
According to a report from the sports activity management in the territory, the Floridians selected on this occasion are the fifteen-year-old badminton player Maidalys Zamora de La Rosa, the basketball player Javier Alejandro Sánchez Vega, 17 years old and 2.5 meters tall ; and hockey player Sheyla Puerto Machado, 21.
With these new additions, the number of Floridian athletes in the National High Performance Centers rises to 13, where there are talents from this municipality in 10 sports disciplines, namely, table tennis, wrestling, badminton, field hockey, boxing, athletics, rhythmic gymnastics, volleyball, weightlifting and basketball.
The increase in the number of Floridian athletes in the enrollment of the High Performance Sports Centers in Cuba represents another positive note for the work of athletic training in the municipality and the province of Camagüey.
