Florida, January 16 – 13 families from the municipality of Florida protected by Social Assistance, were benefited with the free delivery of an equal number of electric pressure cookers, with the aim of facilitating the food preparation process and thereby improving its quality. of life.
The funds, purchased for a value of more than 500 thousand pesos, were destined for vulnerable communities where the elderly and children affected by serious chronic diseases such as heart disease and malignant tumors, motor, intellectual and visual disabilities, and others living with peritoneal route.
During the distribution of the 13 electric pressure cookers, carried out this weekend in different Popular Councils of the municipality of Florida with the support of the Tomasito tricycles (Social Development Project of this municipality), the majority of the beneficiary families were grateful for the state donation and the continuity of the work of the Cuban Revolution in the field of social assistance and protection.
The policy of the Cuban State of not leaving anyone helpless no matter how difficult the circumstances may be remains firm, and this is demonstrated by the deliveries of financial aid and basic necessities carried out here during the year 2023, including the purchase of homes for mothers with three or more children in vulnerable situations.
