Urban Agriculture in Florida, an alternative that defends the production of fresh food (+Audio)

Agricultura Urbana en Florida

Florida, December 26.- The Urban, Suburban and Family Agriculture movement was created in Cuba with the purpose of promoting the planting of vegetables in any available space within the city and its periphery, increasing their consumption in the daily diet of the population, and add the greatest possible number of people to the development of this productive variant.

The journalist Pedro Pablo Sáez Herrera proposes in the following report a sample of the current impulse, favorable examples and results of areas linked to this productive movement in the municipality of Florida, as a food alternative that can and should contribute to the reduction of prices and to the nutritional balance in the people’s diet.
