Florida, Dec. 7.- The Office of Assistance to Combatants of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) in Florida announced its recognition and congratulations to the founders of that body on the 48th anniversary of its creation, to be celebrated next December 11.
«Eternal gratitude to those who for more than four decades worked and offered their love in support of FAR veterans and the families of those who fell in the fulfillment of internationalist missions, in defense of the freedom and dignity of the homeland»; This is how he expresses the message to the Floridian founders.
The Combatant Assistance Bodies were created on December 11, 1975, as part of Operation Carlota, which in around three decades led more than half a million Cubans to combat colonialism, imperialism and apartheid in African lands.
At the conclusion of this feat of solidarity with the total liberation of the Angolan people and other nations of the continent, the Combatant Care Offices maintained their actions with new tasks, linked to health surveillance, material and financial aid, support in the management of procedures and of personal care for the beneficiaries of the system.
In its 48 years of existence, the aforementioned institution of the municipality of Florida, supported jointly by the FAR and the revolutionary Government, strengthened basic tasks such as constant exchange with the families of combatants who fell in defense missions, the custody of their mortal remains and the permanent tribute to the glory, memory and example bequeathed by them to the history of the sacred Homeland.
