Florida, Nov 7.- Sprinter Yarima García Díaz became the first Floridian woman to win a Gold medal in the Pan American Games, an achievement she achieved as a member of the Cuban women’s champion team in the 4 x 100 meter relay event at the recent Pan-American event Santiago 2023.
At only 19 years of age, the runner from the municipality of Florida debuted in these Pan American Games, where she also managed to be included in the final of the queen of Athletics competition.
