Yarima García from Florida dressed in gold with the Cuban short relay

Florida, Nov 4.- Floridian Yarima García Díaz won the Pan American Gold Medal as part of the Cuban women’s relay that was crowned this Thursday in the 4 x 100 meter relay event, within the athletics event of the multi-sport event in Santiago de Chile.

At 19 years old, Yarima is the youngest member of the Cuban team, which in 2023 became champion in this speed relay event at the recent Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador.

On the other hand the tennis player from the municipality of Florida, Adrián Pérez Niebla, went into action but his debut in the multi-sport event was not sucessfull, as he lost the two games he played and lost against the representative of the United States during the initial day of the team tournament of that discipline in the Games.
