Guerrilla productiva impulsa labores del programa agroalimentario en Florida

Florida, Sep 23.- With Our Own Effort is the motto and name that identifies the productive guerrilla made up of more than 35 workers from various sectors of the municipality of Florida, with the purpose of promoting main tasks of the territory’s agri-food program, commission which is already reaping excellent results.

Less than a week after starting their first missions at the El Vaquerito Basic Cooperative Production Unit (UBPC), of the Ignacio Agramonte sugar system, those mobilized moved forward with enthusiasm in different challenges such as planting cane and various crops, eliminating woody plants invasive species, beneficial actions in corn fields and preparation of seeds to start banana cultivation.

As a result of this collective effort, which began last Monday, new hectares planted with sugar grass, pumpkin, cassava and melon have been added, adding up to a little more than half a caballeria of land.

Yosvany Abreu Fernández, president of the aforementioned production unit, highlighted his own satisfaction and that of the rest of the actors in his cooperative for the significant contribution of the group of more than 35 men who took the step forward as part of the productive guerrilla With Our Own Efforts, willing to support the sugarcane recovery and the planting of various crops in Florida agriculture.
