Floridians celebrate International Week of the Deaf

Florida, September 19.- From September 18 to September 24, the members of the National Association of the Deaf of Cuba (ANSOC) in Florida celebrate the International Week of Deaf People, with the aim of promoting their inclusion within the society.

During these days the local union plans to carry out a group of activities to celebrate these days, such as board games, a trip to the Florida resort and visits to local cultural centers.

Among the purposes of this day is also to raise awareness among citizens about the reality that deaf and hard of hearing people experience, their way of interacting with their environment and the importance of early detection of hearing disorders in newborns. born.

With more than 150 associates, ANSOC in Florida celebrates this year’s International Week of the Deaf from September 18 to 24; Interacting with children and young people with hearing disabilities, knowing the reality they live in their daily lives and providing them with answers that truly benefit their quality of life is the fundamental purpose of the activities carried out these days.
