Activities continue in Florida in greeting to August 23 (+Post)

Florida, Aug 22.- Several workers from the Sports Sector in Florida together with 23 women participated this Sunday in the productive work carried out in the Basic Unit of Cooperative Production (UBPC) El Vaquerito, dedicated to the new anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC ).

During the day, those present dedicated themselves to planting cassava and cleaning an area planted with corn, both activities aimed at guaranteeing the success of these productions that will be used to feed the people.

The Floridian women and workers of Physical Culture and Sports in Florida were present this Sunday at the work carried out at the UBPC El Vaquerito and promised to further support these activities for the benefit of agricultural production in the municipality.

As part of the activities for the 63rd anniversary of the FMC, the labor groups of the Tobacco Rolando Valdivia and Camisas factories were declared XI Congress Centers of the organization.

Rita Viltres Ríos, secretary of the Federation of Cuban Women in Florida, explained that, to date, there are four work groups that have received this recognition in the territory and it is planned to grant it to other entities where the female workforce is the majority.
