Florida, Aug 11.- The workers of the Leopoldo Rey Sampayo pediatric hospital, in the municipality of Florida, enthusiastically celebrated the 38th anniversary of that health institution on August 10, and ratified the will to deliver intelligence, effort and humanism in defense of the life of the child population.
That commitment, more than fulfilled, was the same one contracted in 1985 during the founding act of the institution, an event that had the special presence of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz.
In the commemorative activity, carried out this Thursday in the hospital facility itself decorated for the occasion, the political, administrative and union organizations of the collective highlighted the trajectory of the founders who remain active, gave recognition to various retirees and highlighted the memory and example of Dr. Amparo Carriera Montes, the first director of that vanguard entity of the Medical Assistance System of the municipality of Florida.

The political-cultural celebration for the 38th anniversary of the inauguration of the Leopoldo Rey Sampayo pediatric hospital also included a special musical-dance gift from the artists of the Luis Casas Romero cultural center, under the direction of maestro Arnaldo Alfonso, as part of the of the well-deserved treat for the workers of that institution inaugurated on August 10, 1985.
