Florida, August 27.—The 2025-2026 school year will officially begin on the first Monday of September, and the municipal ceremony in Florida will take place at the Sabino Pupo Milián Agricultural Polytechnic Institute.
All teachers will previously join their educational institutions for an intensive week of preparation and readiness. During these days, teachers will receive specific training, review materials, and organize the necessary spaces to ensure a successful start to academic activities.
The priorities for the new school year were established during the municipal preparation seminar held last July at the José Martí Pérez Elementary School. Among the main objectives are strengthening the quality of teaching through the modernization of educational methods and the implementation of the Third Improvement of the Educational System.
This process seeks to ensure comprehensive student development, align pedagogical practices with national educational policies, and emphasized the importance of digital transformation and social communication as cross-cutting themes to enrich pedagogical work.
Another key priority is strengthening political and ideological work in the current context, as well as increasing teaching effectiveness through continuous improvement and assessment strategies.
The completion of the training that teachers will receive this week will allow the start of the 2025-2026 school year in Florida to unfold within a framework of educational excellence and renewal.
With the support of local authorities, educational institutions are expected to implement the strategies defined during the seminar and ensure a school year characterized by innovation, comprehensiveness, and responsiveness to students’ contemporary needs.
