Mi Barrio project in San Jerónimo, day of special fun

Florida, 26 Aug. – The community project Mi Barrio developed this Sunday its activity in the community of San Jerónimo, municipality of Florida, with a day of learning and entertainment of deep historical and cultural value.

The initiative served as a bridge between past and present, involving the youngest of the locality in a journey to rediscover and connect with the rich heritage of its territory.

The central activity was carried out by the museologist Lisney Gómez Ramos, representative of the Municipal Museum of Florida, who presented to the children a collection of original photographs of the veterans of the region, pieces that are part of the valuable archive of the institution.

Afterwards, there was a guided tour of the memorial plaque commemorating the historical events in San Jerónimo, where he explained to those present the importance of these events and their impact on the formation of local identity.

The joy and entertainment of the Sunday day were guaranteed with the presence of cultural promoter Rogelio Maya, who, giving life to his character of the clown Corbatín, animated the morning with games, songs and laughter.

This enriching day took place at a significant moment for the community, as the boys and girls of San Jerónimo are preparing for the start of the new school year on the first day of September in the primary level educational institution Francisco Gómez Toro where, No doubt, the knowledge shared during the presentation of the Mi Barrio project will enrich your return to the classroom.
