Florida, May 9 – Every May 9, World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day is celebrated in commemoration of the birth of Henry Dunant, the founder of this humanitarian institution created to assist governmental work.
The date is ideal to recognize the commendable work of the volunteers who, from the operations and relief groups, collaborate in the protection of the population and help the most disadvantaged.
