Florida, April 25 – The detailed analysis of the problems affecting the socioeconomic development of the San Antonio Popular Council and the search for solutions in the field was the keynote of the governmental control carried out this Tuesday, with the presence of the highest authorities and representatives of agencies and entities of the municipality of Florida.
Among the main deficiencies detected in the review were the failures in the operation of the Family Assistance System (SAF), violations of consumer rights in the warehouses, dissatisfaction in the supply of water to the population and problems related to the sale of bread on Sundays.
There were also criteria on the poor quality of the access roads to the council’s communities, the lack of personnel in the area of communal services, delays in the payment of social security and demands for the implementation of an on-call transport for the transfer of medical emergencies to the municipal capital city.
During the summary of the Control, the mayor of Florida, Ormandys Rodríguez Sánchez, called for the accountability of officials and administrators responsible for the phenomena detected during the visit to San Antonio, and directed to immediately implement or promote measures to solve some of the problems present in that demarcation of the territory.
During the visit, issues related to the performance of the educational system, health services, the situation of transportation and communications, the sale of medicines, the fulfillment of prevention and social attention policies, the work of the Sports Sector and the functioning of the structures of the People’s Power, among others, were also reviewed.
The visit of the governmental control to the rural popular council San Antonio, in the municipality of Florida, was also used to advance in the strengthening of the grassroots structures of the women’s organization and in the direct exchange with producers and directors of the agricultural sector.
