Camagüey, Florida, Jun 3.- The Ignacio Agramonte sugar refinery, located in the Camagüey municipality of Florida, has enough finished product to guarantee the family basket for the current month planned for the Camagüey territory and several eastern provinces of the country.
This was confirmed to the ACN by Francisco Pol Fis, director of the entity, who specified that the factory has accumulated 8,300 tons of food to date, since it started on March 19, after a repair process .
Despite several interruptions due to the lack of fuel, the level of refined sugar that exists today allows them to carry out the commercialization, which they carry out through TecnoAzúcar, a company of the AZCUBA Group in charge of the sale of the sweet and its derivatives in the national market .
The industry, attached to the Ignacio Agramonte plant, in May reached only 1,891 tons, of the 5,600 planned, the manager pointed out, however he explained that for the first days of this month an allocation of fuel is expected that will allow the resumption of manufacturing work .
It can reach 340 tons per day, and the aforementioned repairs carried out in the first quarter of this year contributed to improving its efficiency, which covered decisive areas such as the boiler and centrifuges, with a high degree of deterioration.
Such improvements in the refractory work of the boiler and the gas ducts stabilize the generation of steam, and in terms of refining, the final product has a higher quality.
On the other hand, two of the five centrifuges were automated, also in favor of a higher manufacturing speed.
