Florida, May 26 – The Luis Casas Romero House of Culture in the city of Florida is currently hosting the group exhibition «The World Through Their Eyes,» featuring 20 works created by students of the Photography Workshop at the Conrado Benítez Elementary School.
The exhibition is the result of the systematic work of art instructor Leydis Matos Romero, who has successfully guided the children in discovering photography as a tool for personal expression.
The students participating in this exhibition are: Edilena de la Caridad Díaz Cárdenas, Alejandra Ramírez Estevez, Amisaday Rodríguez Estevez, Camila Calvo Moya, Neily Fernández Vera, Suleimi Rodríguez Rodríguez, Nely Mercedes Cantillo, and Lusmary Soto Socarras.
Behind each of the exhibited images lie hours of learning in the workshop, where students learn techniques for using light, framing, and composition, and how to observe the world with sensitivity.
Under Leyidis Matos’s guidance, the children progress from initial curiosity to the ability to tell visual stories, transforming their emotions, dreams, and everyday experiences into photographic art.
