Florida, March 31 – Boys and girls from the Conrado Benítez García Elementary School, located in the Las Margaritas community of Florida, are participating in the «We Are Photographers» art workshop, taught by art instructor Leydis Matos Romero from the municipal House of Culture.
Learning about the history and evolution of photography, the most renowned Cuban photographers, and other points of interest were among the first topics covered by Matos Romero, who is also a photographer and recently graduated with a degree in Art Education.
Currently, excursions to photograph nature in areas near the community are part of the children’s motivation. Every Saturday, they find inspiration to return to their rural school in search of new knowledge related to the world of photography.
