Florida, February 23 – The Agustín Farabundo Martí Junior High School in the municipality of Florida hosted a meeting between specialists from the Sports Sector and cultural promoters from the Argentina People’s Council, as part of the sports and recreation Olympics taking place this month.
The event is part of the activities promoted by the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) in celebration of the institution’s 65th anniversary and the centennial of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, whose legacy transformed the Cuban sports model into a social and cultural benchmark at the community level.
The Sports for All Olympics, which run until this Saturday throughout the country, aim to maintain physical, sports, and recreational activities adapted to the conditions of each region and ensure that sports practice is a space for inclusion and citizen participation at the neighborhood level.
The competitions take place in the areas of the Sports Complexes and use educational and community facilities, which consolidates the systematic practice of Physical Culture in Cuba and keeps alive the ideas of the historical leader of the Revolution, who conceived of Sport as a right of the people.
