School Olympics «100 Years with Fidel» Inaugurated in Florida (+Post)

Florida, February 18 – The municipality of Florida celebrated the opening of the «100 Years with Fidel» Sports Olympics, an event honoring the legacy of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution. The official opening ceremony took place at the emblematic El Beisbolito field in the Ibarra district, where students, teachers, and community members gathered to participate in sports and physical education competitions.

This school Olympics, which aims to promote sports among young people, will feature the participation of elementary and junior high school students in various disciplines.

The competitors will face off in disciplines such as baseball, volleyball, track and field, baseball 5, basketball, soccer, and orienteering, among others. In addition, recreational and physical culture activities will be included to promote an environment of discipline and respect.

The event highlights the importance of sports in the holistic development of young people and also seeks to strengthen the values ​​that Fidel Castro promoted throughout his life: solidarity, effort, and dedication.
