Educational institutions in Florida with varied activities to strengthen road safety education

Florida, November 24 – As an integral part of the 62nd National Traffic Safety Week, the municipality of Florida is implementing a comprehensive program of activities in educational institutions. These initiatives aim to be a fundamental pillar in conveying the message of prevention and safety to students, who are both pedestrians and future drivers.

The main objective of the program of activities planned for these days is to contribute to strengthening environmental and road safety education, united by the common purpose of preventing accidents.

The week, which will run until the 29th of this month under the slogan «Give Way to Life,» focuses on traffic rules and also on raising awareness among the population about the importance of protecting nature.

According to José Vázquez Acevedo, School Health Methodologist at the General Directorate of Education for the territory, the activities being carried out are diverse and participatory.

These activities include drawing contests, exhibitions, special morning assemblies, and the operation of Interest Groups dedicated to traffic and road safety.

The event also includes recognition of drivers with exemplary careers and a tribute to those with 20 consecutive years of experience without causing accidents.

The importance of this program in the education sector is paramount, as it plants the seed of a responsible road safety culture in new generations, creating a ripple effect that extends beyond the classroom and reaches the entire community.
