Strategic exercise aimed at strengthening drug rejection is held in Florida (+Post)

Florida, October 24 – From October 20th to 25th, Florida’s education sector is developing a program of actions as part of the Strategic Exercise aimed at strengthening the rejection of drugs and psychotropic substances.

For Early Childhood, activities will focus on providing guidance to workers and families; in Primary and Special Education, work will be done with fifth and sixth graders, depending on their diagnosis; while in Basic Secondary School, Pre-University, Vocational Technical Education, and the Pedagogical School, actions will cover all students, given the greater vulnerability and risks characteristic of these ages.

The planned activities are diverse and seek to impact through multiple channels, including special morning sessions, exhibitions, teacher training, and the viewing of audiovisual materials. Workshops and talks with Public Health specialists are also planned.

According to the planned schedule, family education schools will be held, nighttime security checks will be conducted at residential centers, and sports games, dance festivals, drawing contests, and debates will be organized in libraries to reinforce the message in a fun and participatory manner.

The exercise goes beyond the classroom to actively involve the community and establish coordination with the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution to organize neighborhood debates.

The invitation to health personnel, officials from the Attorney General’s Office and officials from the Ministry of the Interior, as well as parents who are professionals in the field, will enrich these spaces, creating a solid community support network that supports prevention work and strengthens students’ comprehensive education.
