Florida, Sep 3rd.- The Education, Public Administration and Health Unions, in that order, are the Floridans with the largest number of meetings scheduled in the schedule of the Consultation Process of the Preliminary Draft of the new Labor Code of the Republic of Cuba in this municipality, proposed to start on the 8th of this month.
The educational sector has planned 44 meetings to discuss the contents of this document, which after its analysis and enrichment in all instances of the workers’ movement from the base, will be submitted to the National Assembly of People’s Power to become a law for all social actors.
For their part, the municipal directorates of the unions of the Public Administration and Health of the municipality of Florida, with 21 and 17 assemblies planned in the process, They took advantage of the possibility of bringing together small labour groups in a single meeting, which will allow them to save time, enrich analyses and affect service provision as little as possible.
At close of this information, the authorities responsible for conducting the consultation on the preliminary draft of the new Labour Code were adjusting details with a view to organizing the process in units of the non-State sector without trade union structures, including MIPYMES and Local Development Projects.
