Temporary group acknowledges limitations, but calls for tireless work in Florida

Florida, July 30.—Limited fuel availability for the municipality of Florida’s daily tasks has once again affected important missions such as solid waste collection and water distribution, among others. This situation requires the low levels of this energy resource to be used only to guarantee vital or highly sensitive services for the population.

This was acknowledged the day before by the highest authorities of the territory during the Municipal Working Group Meeting, where the upcoming arrival of seven pounds of rice from the standardized family basket for the month of June was also announced. This includes five pounds in bulk and a one-kilogram package of the cereal that will be distributed free of charge per consumer.

Representatives of the food subgroup also noted that the distribution of four packs of regulated cigarettes and one cigar will soon begin for those registered over 18 years of age. The Basic Food Unit warned of delays in the production of thousands of bread rations due to fuel shortages.

In reporting on the day’s actions to the Florida Municipal Working Group, the Water Supply directors noted that the installation of turbines at well number four in the Argentina People’s Council and at well number five, located at the former Ice Plant in the Urban Center, is still pending.

Meanwhile, officers from the Municipal Inspection Directorate reported the implementation of 14 decrees against individuals and legal entities in the fight against illegalities, crime, and social indiscipline on Monday. They also noted the forced sale of items such as malanga and detergents at exorbitant prices or above the national regulations.

Before concluding the discussion on the day’s events, the Party and Government Working Group in Florida also reviewed the logistical and food needs in the Education and Health sectors and in the Family Care Systems linked to the Municipal Commerce and Gastronomy Company.
