Florida, July 7 – With more than 140 members and significant results in its social integration, the National Association of the Blind (ANCI) in the municipality of Florida will celebrate its 50th anniversary this July 19th. This organization strives for the full integration of its members into society.
In celebration of the anniversary, various activities were carried out, such as Rehabilitative Sports Tourism at the Las Clavellinas Camping Base, in close contact with nature in the area surrounding the Saramaguacán River. In addition to visits to the homes of members with health problems, the organization also participated jointly with INDER (National Institute of the Blind) in all the activities carried out during this vacation period.
Among the organization’s main achievements are outstanding results at the provincial level, the participation of young people in meetings held at the ANCI headquarters, and the creation of Rehabilitation Pioneer groups in different educational centers throughout the region to support the association’s work.
Emilio Sánchez Sarmiento, president of ANCI in the municipality of Florida, extended his warm congratulations to his more than 140 members, who are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the association’s founding this July 19th.
