Florida, June 5 – Various activities are being carried out by Floridian students and teachers to celebrate World Environment Day, a day that began this Monday and will last until June 5.
Special mornings, educational talks, informative panels and contests are some of the actions carried out in the institutions of the sector to highlight the date, promote environmental awareness and get students to identify with the problems of the ecosystem.
The day will include cleaning, beautification and attention to gardens, playgrounds, school plots and orchards, actions in contact with nature and discussions on the care of the environment where the importance of learning to recycle and reuse is implicit among the students.
In the educational sector of Florida there is a strategy with a set of pedagogical actions and activities with educational purposes; among the objectives of the system are the development of a culture for the care of the environment and the prevention of disaster risks, as well as the conservation of biodiversity, the protection of water, and the vulnerability and dangers implied by phenomena such as desertification and drought.
