National President of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution visits Florida (+Post)

Florida, June 2 – The highest authorities of the Party and the Government in the municipality of Florida officially welcomed Major General José Antonio Carrillo Gómez, president of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution, who made a working visit to this territory, accompanied by directors of the organization at the national level and of the province of Camagüey.

After evaluating a group of issues of common interest for the Association and the Party itself at the municipal headquarters of this political organization, General Carrillo and his entourage arrived at the House of the Combatants of the municipality, where they exchanged with its leadership and with representatives of that force at the base to listen to criteria and to transfer objectives, guidelines and tasks emanating from the last conference of the group.

The self-financing of the organization, the growth of the ranks, the maintenance of unity, the attention to the members and the leading role in the work within the People’s Council were the basis of a sincere and transparent dialogue, in which it was called to maintain confidence in the Revolution, to add more young vanguards to the heart of the association and to recognize the role of veteran combatants and many others who play an active social role in the ranks of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and the Ministry of the Interior and in other missions in defense of the security and prestige of the Homeland.

At the end of the visit of the National Directorate of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution to the municipality of Florida, headed by its president, Major General José Antonio Carrillo Gómez, the commitment to continue on the socialist course, preserving history with dignity and gratitude to all those who fought, preserve and defend the revolutionary cause and the ideas of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz was ratified.
