Floridian farmer elected as member of the National Committee of the farmer organization

Florida, May 21 – At the end of the XIII Congress of the Cuban peasants’ organization, held in Havana between May 15 and 17, it was announced the election of Misael Hernández Gutiérrez from Florida as a new member of the organization’s National Committee.

Livestock producer and president of the Alberto Becerra Rosado Credit and Services Cooperative (CCS), Misael accumulates a rich record in the fulfillment of productive, political and social tasks inside and outside the agrarian organization, where he is currently a delegate to the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power for the governmental district of Conquista.

In his trajectory as an exemplary farmer, he has been the Vanguard of the sector for several years; the recognition and appreciation of the collective he leads and the respect of the Florida authorities for his disposition and enthusiasm in each assigned mission.

The election of Misael Hernández Gutiérrez as a member of the National Committee of ANAP in its recent Congress keeps alive the historical presence of the Floridian peasants in the highest leadership of the Cuban peasantry through the years, a new challenge that he will undoubtedly know how to overcome and exalt with great success.
