Florida, April 30 – The collective of workers of the Rolando Valdivia Tobacco Factory in the municipality of Florida materializes the production plans foreseen in the months elapsed of this year, as part of the actions dedicated to receive the main anniversary of the world proletariat and the Tobacco Workers’ Day to be celebrated on May 29.
To achieve these results, the more than 70 men and women directly linked to production take advantage of the working day and work even on weekends to fulfill the commitment of exporting this prized product.
The industry workers also contribute to food sovereignty by planting yucca, sweet potatoes, plantains and other agricultural varieties in the areas surrounding the center, whose harvests help to improve the food prepared in the workers’ dining room. To grow sustainably, increase production for export, work on the repair and remodeling of the building are some of the objectives of the workers of the Rolando Valdivia Tobacco Factory in the municipality of Florida in honor of May 1st and the Tobacco Workers’ Day.
