Activities scheduled in Florida to celebrate International Women’s Day

Florida, Feb. 26 – The Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) in the municipality of Florida is planning a day of activities in honor of March 8, international women’s day of celebration.

Recognition to farmers women directly linked to production, to outstanding federates in blocks and delegations of the territory, and the homage to founders of the FMC constitute actions to be developed during these days in the locality.

The Floridian federates will also participate in the productive works that are carried out on Sundays in the four organoponicos existing in the municipality, in support to the production of food.

Rita Viltres Ríos, general secretary of the Federation of Cuban Women in the municipality of Florida exhorted to celebrate the event with enthusiasm and ratified the purpose of being among the first places of the fraternal emulation this 2025 at provincial and national level and to celebrate as usual the International Women’s Day in their delegations and student and work centers.
