Florida, Jan. 28 – The main political and government authorities in the municipality of Florida evaluated this weekend in the Conquista popular council aspects related to the supply of water to the population and the development of the sugar harvest in the Basic Unit of Cooperative Production (UBPC) Primero de Enero.
The delegation headed by the first secretary of the Communist Party, Liliana Boudet Nápoles, together with the president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, Evelyn Márquez, and the mayor of Floridan, Ormandys Rodríguez, supervised the beginning of the sugar cane cuttings in the Agramonte system, and analyzed the causes and consequences of the fire that occurred in the millable areas of the Primero de Enero cooperative.
Accompanied by directors of the Ignacio Agramonte Agroindustrial Sugar Company, the top leaders of the municipality also discussed the search for urgent solutions for electric pumps and primary networks to guarantee the resumption, as soon as possible, of water distribution in the community of Conquista.
José Luis Rodríguez González, director of the Agramonte Agro-Sugar Company, assumed the commitment to support, with resources, the solution of this legitimate demand of the settlers in that rural population.
La visita de la dirección del Partido y el Gobierno a la zona de Conquista incluyó, además, el llamado a redoblar la vigilancia y la denuncia contra las candelas no programadas, y trabajar por una zafra eficiente donde no falten, sobre todo, la atención al hombre y el estímulo a los que más se destaquen en el cumplimiento de las tareas.
