José Antonio Márquez Paz, a Floridian who was a tobacco worker in his youth and a sugar worker until the present, received the First Class Internationalist Combatant Medal for his participation in the struggle for the total liberation of the People’s Republic of Angola.
This broadcast of Estampas Floridanas proposes to know some of the experiences of the reserve officer of the Revolutionary Armed Forces José Antonio Márquez Paz, who arrived in the People’s Republic of Angola in January 1976 through the port of Lobito, together with other Floridians Sixto Reina Cervantes and Francisco Sánchez Guillen, known as El Pinto.
