Florida, Dec. 19 – Floridian linemen Maikel Frank Tassé and Daniel Ignacio Ramos received awards from the political and governmental authorities of the province of Camagüey, as part of the Ignacio Agramonte Contingent that contributed to the recovery of the electric infrastructure in Havana and Artemisa, after the damages caused by Hurricane Rafael.
In Agramonte’s Revolution Square, the gesture of solidarity and the intense work carried out by this group of specialists, technicians and linemen of the Electrical Union in the territory was distinguished by the leadership of the Cuban Workers’ Central and praised by representatives and officials of the Provincial Committee of the Party and the Government.
For almost a month, the members of the Camagüey electrical contingent put their strength and work capacity at the service of the provinces of Havana and Artemisa, which demanded their support to restore in the shortest time and with the highest possible quality their energy distribution systems, damaged in early November by the impact of Hurricane Rafael.
The recovery of the electric service in these territories in the western part of the country demanded a high grade of labor effort to put up and put into operation poles and power lines, as well as those transformer banks knocked down or damaged by the impact of the hydro-meteorological phenomenon.
