Cuban Representatives to Attend Important French Tourism Fair

Havana, Mar 13 - Cuban representatives will attend the 2015 edition of the World Tourism Salon (MAP) from March 19 thru 22 in its Paris venue, referred an official press reléase.

The note of the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) added that fair held annually gives the great public a continuous program of activities in animation, practical information, conferences and other actions that allow visitors to know about their destinations.
It adds that Cuban participation in the event will have among its main features, benefiting from this unique showcase to present and promote, with eyes set on next summer, to the diversity of products the island has to offer.
It also pursues that the islan´s delegation to attract new clients passionate on trips, to stimulate the potential demand to guarantee the positioning of Cuba in the market and to profit from media coverage of this event.
Cuba will also promote the main tourist activities to be displayed in the country in 2015, first of all the 35th edition of the International Tourism Fair FITCuba, from May 5 to 7.
The Cuban delegation will be formed by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, the Counsellor on Tourism of the Cuban Embassy to France, Cubana Airlines, the International Group of Touroperators and Travel Agencies Havanatur and its representative in France.
In the group are included delegates of hotel chains Cubanacan and Islazul and the associated Iberostar and Blue Diamond Hotels and Resorts.
France is one of the main emitting markets to the island. At the end of 2014, a growth of seven percent was registered compared to the previous year, demonstrating a recovery of the emission to Cuba and its potential to keep growing.
That market occupied sixth place in arrival of visitors to Cuba, being fourth from Europe, after Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy.
