Dec, 11th - The increasing number of British tourists arriving in Cuba shows the growing interest in that European nation for the attractions offered by Cuba as a main Caribbean holiday destination.
Following last week’s visit to Havana by the British cruise ship Thomson Dream, with more than one thousand tourists aboard, a huge Boeing seven-eight-seven landed today at the Holguin Airport, in Eastern Cuba, in a non-stop flight from London with at least three hundred other Thomson vacationers.
More than one hundred and twenty seven thousand Britons travelled to Cuba on vacation from January up to October this year, and they should number one hundred and fifty thousand by the end of two thousand and thirteen.
The United Kingdom is currently the second largest source of tourists to Cuba behind Canada, which continues to head this coveted spot.
