Cuba and Vietnam Advance Cooperation in the Health Sector Cuba, Dec, 5th - Cuba and Vietnam signed in Hanoi a memo of understanding on control of medications in an effort to advance bilateral cooperation in the field of health, as it was proposed by the Vietnam-Cuba Joint Intergovernmental Commission in its most recent session.

According to PL news agency, the document was penned by the general director of the Vietnamese Medication Administration office, Truong
Quoc Cuong and his counterpart from the Cuban State Center CECMED, Rafael Perez in the presence of Vietnamese Health deputy minister
Nguyen Than Long.

During a meeting in Hanoi, in September, the Joint Intergovernmental Commission considered a protocol that included collaboration projects
between the two medication control entities.

Rafael Perez also met with deputy minister Nguyen Thi Xuyen and other high-level officials from the Vietnamese Science and Technology Ministry, as well as with representatives of other institutions in the field of health.
