Boxing: Cuba Announces Team for Match against Mexico

Havana, Nov 6 - Olympic champion Robeisy Ramirez (56 kg) and the world runner-up Yasnier Toledo (64) are part of the quintet of Cuban Domadores that will debut against Mexico Guerreros in the IV Boxing World Series.
Agreed for November 15th in the Mexican capital, the match also will enroll universal bronze medalist Yosbany VeitÃa (49), former world youth monarch Erislandy Savon (91), and the novel Ramón Luis (75).
“All of them joined the training activities after returning from the World Championship and have assimilated the job targeted to meet the characteristics of the event,†the Cuban Federation president Alberto Puig de la Barca said.
The organizers of the event announced that the Mexican squad will depend on the Pan American champion Joselito Velasquez (49), Aaron Alameda (56), Juan Pablo Romero (64), Juan Antonio Mercado (75) and the Frenchman Djibril Coupe (91) .
If there are no changes, the event will have the rematch VeitÃa-Velasquez and Toledo-Romero, won by the exponents of the island in the disputed exhibition fair in late August.
The Cuba Domadores in the remaining divisions will fight next weekend against Poland, and will add those defended in Mexico to receive Russia on December 6 , at the Havana Sports City Coliseum .
